You know my life is pretty sweet on a daily basis, so when something comes along that brings that up a notch, it is really something! I got a gift certificate for my birthday for a spa treatment, called Tranquility Day Spa. It was at SoulSpace located at via S. Egidio, 12 Firenze, Italia 50122 +39 055 2001794.
The spa is located in a beautiful piazza and as you enter the double door entrance you come into a columned entrance hall leading to a beautiful courtyard. Behind the glass doors lies paradise! The spa is decorated in cool grays, dark lavenders, and white. The aroma when you enter immediately puts you at peace. I was shown to the dressing room, where lockers are provided along with a robe, slippers and a wrap. I had brought my bathing suit, so got to take advantage of the Turkish bath first which was a steam room. There is a large relaxing area with green tea and gentle music and a pool. I relaxed for a while before my treatments (A massage and facial) and thought about my fortune in the luxury, quiet, calm high ceiling palazzo.
There is a garden out back for relaxing as well, and the rooms are equipped with showers and everything you need to get yourself ready to face the outside world. After the treatment, I went into the pool for a little while, and then, I found myself back on the streets of Florence, the smell of garlic and rosemary in the air, vespas whipping by, and a violinist on the corner playing Verdi. What a life! Thank you Anne! It was magnificent!
